* ICSE 2018 *
Sun 27 May - Sun 3 June 2018 Gothenburg, Sweden

The International Conference on Software Engineering (ICSE) 2018 will have an especially strong focus on content that is of high relevance to practitioners from software and related industries. Take advantage of this unique opportunity to present your results, discuss with other practitioners, and get feedback and recommendations how to further improve.

Several parts of ICSE have a strong focus on industrial practitioners. These are:

Technical Briefings

Tuesday, May 29

This track provides conference participants with the opportunity to gain new insights, knowledge, and skills in a broad range of areas of software engineering. We are looking forward to contributions from both academic researchers and industry practitioners. Technical Briefings are aimed for communicating the current state of a timely topic related to software engineering. As opposed to in-depth tutorials in more mature fields, Technical Briefings should provide a compact introduction to the state-of-the-art in an emerging area.

Industry Forum

Wednesday, May 30

The Industry Forum, a one day event, will packed with high-level talks, exhibitions and networking opportunities. You can join in the event listening to specialists and development managers from industry, and known researchers and their collaboration with industry, or participate in the speeding dates.

Software Engineering in Practice Track

Wednesday - Friday, May 29 - June 1

This track provides highly-qualified industrial and research participants that are eager to communicate and share common interests in software engineering. The track will be composed of invited speeches, paper presentations, talks, and panel discussions with a strong focus on software engineering practitioners. One can submit either an experience report or case study or an extended abstract for a presentation proposal.

Why is this ICSE special for industrial practitioners?

  • ICSE 2018 has a strong commitment to ensure a value-add for industrial practitioners
